How long is the ferry from Dagebüll to Amrum?

The salty sea air fills your lungs and the screeching of seagulls accompanies the ride. When you join the North Sea island Amrum you might even catch a glimpse of the sand dunes and the picturesque northern village.

For the crossing from Dagebüll to Amrum there are several ferries available, including the modern double-ended ferry Uthlande, the ferry Schleswig-Holstein and the ferry Norderaue. However, from May 2019, the new catamaran Rüm Hart of the shipping company Adler will be used, which can carry up to 250 passengers. The catamaran offers a smoother and faster ride and is therefore very popular with tourists.

How long is the ferry from Dagebüll to Amrum?

If you drive directly from Dagebüll to Amrum, the crossing takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes. However, if you want to interrupt the trip and make a stop on Föhr the journey time is extended by 30 minutes to a total of 2 hours.

The ferry ride to Amrum is a great opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful North Sea scenery. Sitting on the upper deck you can enjoy the fresh breeze and watch the waves dancing. If you are lucky, you can even see some playful seagull flying next to the ferry.
