Why not take a look at the landscape from above and fly over the bathers, seals and seals while landing on Helgoland's dune?
With OFD-Ostfriesischer-Flug-Dienst-GmbH you have two options to fly to the island.
There are daily flights from Cuxhaven/Nordholz in summer as well as in winter. The flight duration is 25 minutes. The current flight times can be found on the website fliegofd.de. Flights can be booked directly online or by phone: 04741/6030-001.
By car you can reach the Sea-Airport Cuxhaven-Nordholz: Walter-Carstens-Str. 1, 27639 Wurster North Sea coast.
You have the choice of booking a one-way flight, which costs 102.00 EUR for a normal fare, 187.00 EUR for a round-trip flight on one day, and 202.00 EUR for a round-trip flight on different days. Ask for discounts for children and dogs. Air transport tax must be paid in addition. Included in the price is the transfer from Düne airport to the island. A cab will take you to the pier. Between the dune and the main island the dune ferryboat shuttles regularly every half hour. The journey takes less than 10 minutes.
The second departure airport of the airline is Heide/Büsum. To get to the airport by car, enter: Am Flugplatz 7, 25761 Oesterdeichstrich in your navigation device. The prices are similar to the route Nordholz-.Heligoland. The flight is slightly shorter at 20 minutes.
Should there be any flight cancellations, reference will be made to the Heligoland Ferry changed.
Charter flights are also possible. Inquire directly at the OFD charter department in Emden about the conditions: 04921/8992-40.
Britten Norman Islander 2 aircraft are used for flight operations. The twin-engine aircraft can accommodate nine passengers plus baggage. Infants up to 2 years of age without their own seat fly at a reduced rate, as do children aged 2 - 11 years.
No matter how you choose to arrive, enjoy the sea trip or the flight and have a great time on the island with a difference.
