A daily connection is offered by FRS Helgoline from Cuxhaven to Heligoland and from Hamburg to Helgoland.

Hamburg to Helgoland (Halunder Jet)

The Return begins at 16:30, Tuesdays and Thursdays there is an additional Departure at 17:00. On the way back to Hamburg you have enough time to review the day and enjoy the last sea air.

From June 21, 2023, MS Northern Lights will take you on an exciting voyage across the open sea. Are you ready to experience the beauty of the North Sea with all its wonders? From breathtaking sunsets - you won't want to miss a thing.

The ship departs from Büsum according to the timetable and docks at Helgolandkai, harbor basin 3. Departure times from Helgoland are also according to the timetable, so don't forget to check the timetable before you go.

Travel time is about 1 ¾ hours each way, depending on weather conditions and current. But don't worry, the ship is equipped with two guest lounges on two decks, reclining seats and the Motion-Damp system that provides maximum comfort and stability during the trip.

North beach to Heligoland

If you are looking for a convenient way to get to Helgoland, you should take the ferry Adler Express or Adler Cat from Norddeich via Amrum (Wittdün) to Helgoland. The ferry departs at 9:15, so you have enough time to take the early train or go to North Beach to drive.

The Adler Express and the Adler Cat are both modern high-speed catamarans that can accommodate up to 250 passengers. They offer comfortable seats, air conditioning and panoramic windows so you can enjoy the view of the North Sea and the Islands along the route can enjoy.

The one-way ticket for adults costs €48.00 and includes the ferry ride from North Beach to Amrum (Wittdün) and then to Helgoland. The trip takes about 2.5 hours.
