The campsite is located in the middle of nature, surrounded by sand and sea. It offers a carefree vacation where you can disconnect from the world and enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful island. The campsite is open from 01 May to 15 October. During this period you can pitch your tent and immerse yourself in nature. The campsite is a pure tent site with sandy ground, which means that caravans or motor homes are not allowed.
This adds to the natural and authentic experience of camping on the dune. The site has excellent sanitary facilities in the immediate vicinity, so you do not have to worry about anything during your stay on the island. In addition to the tent site, it has a common room with reading and TV corner, which invites you to relax and unwind.
There is also a children's playground, which makes the campsite an ideal destination for families. On the dune there are shopping facilities where you can buy essentials such as food and drinks.
The island of Helgoland has a lot to offer. You can explore the rugged coastline, go on scenic hikes or take a boat tour to observe the wildlife around the island. The coveted dune requires advance registration
How beautiful it can be on the East Frisian island of Helgoland is no longer a secret. That's why it's important to book your North Sea vacation early during the peak season from mid-June to mid-September.
Especially for groups this registration rule applies. Outside the main season, which applies one month before and after the above period, it is sufficient to call at least one day before your arrival. You can easily fill out a registration form online.

The arrival
After you have bought your ferry ticket at the Dünen-Fährkasse, you will travel to the island of Helgoland. For organizational reasons, you should of course keep to the booked day and arrive before 3:00 p.m. if possible. First you report to the administrator of the campsite, who will hand you your spa card and assign your tent pitch.
In July as well as in August an arrival cancellation is to be settled with an amount of 20EUR. In case of early departure for a justified reason, you may be partially refunded.
Beach chair rental for vacation at the North Sea
To reserve a beach chair, send a request by e-mail and include your phone number. Providing your phone number is mandatory so that the helgoland.de team can contact you if necessary. Beach chair reservations for less than five days will not be answered, but rentals from one to four days can be made on site at the dune.
If you have reserved a beach chair for five or more days, you can contact us by phone with any questions or concerns. This service is available from April 15 to September 15.
This is what you should keep in mind during your stay
Camping on the dune is only allowed for adults. However, with a declaration of consent from a parent or guardian and an 18-year-old accompanying person, 16-year-olds are also welcome. However, animals are prohibited on the camping site. It is also not allowed to barbecue. Furthermore, you should adhere to the campsite rules, which prescribe, among other things, rules for swimming in the sea and a minimum distance of three meters from the neighboring tent.
In order to preserve the beautiful nature of the Helgoland dune landscape, some white dunes have been made inaccessible as a protected area. Entering this zone is therefore prohibited. Also note that the campsite is located exclusively on sandy ground. In your own interest, you should therefore bring pegs with a good grip to ensure the stability of your tent.
Material for the construction will be provided to you on site in case of need. With regard to other equipment, you should plan for stronger wind than inland.

Of course, you do not have to do without hygiene during your North Sea vacation. The sanitary facilities and washing machines are available to all vacation guests. For a sociable togetherness provide common and TV rooms and an adventurous children's playground.
The catering
Pack another warm jacket rather than food. In the immediate vicinity of the campsite are shopping facilities to eat. There is also a restaurant serving delicious food.
The camping fees 2023
The cost of a camping vacation on Helgoland depends on the area you take up for your tent. Below you will find the prices for the early and late season / peak season per night.
Pitch fees refer to the tent size and bracing per side 0.50 meters, and per night, without person. There is no minimum rental period.

- Per person from 14. years: 6€ in high and low season
